Melania Trump Wears $1,380 Shirt While Gardening And People Online React

Initial news coverage focused on the event itself, with reporters commenting on Trump continuing former First Lady Michelle Obama’s gardening traditions. But after First Lady fashion-watcher Kate Bennett noted the shirt’s price on her Twitter, the media exploded.

According to Net-A-Porter, the online designer store that stocks it, Trump’s shirt is meant to have a “rebellious ’80s attitude,” and draws its inspiration from counterculture icons David Bowie, George Michael and Prince. It’s a part of their “grunge” collection, meant to be worn with distressed jeans to emphasize its “laid-back feel.”

Trump isn’t the first First Lady to make waves for the cost of her outfits.

Harper’s Bazaar

Obama was famous for her gorgeous-yet-affordable J. Crew chic, and her “sartorial diplomacy” helped define her role as the administration’s approachable “mom-in-chief.”

And as Obama drew criticism for “not looking like a First Lady,” and showing her scandalously-gorgeous upper arms, Trump is currently under fire for wearing a shirt worth almost half the average monthly American salary.

Reactions online were split evenly; some deriding the First Lady’s expensive fashion choices, others calling the focus on it “typical liberal fake news.”

While some lashed out at Bennet for what they saw as a partisan tweet, Bennett pointed out that she had given the exact same coverage to former FLOTUS Obama, including the pricing research.

oh wo

And while some frustration about Melania’s outfit focused on the shirt’s political optics, other Twitter users expressed bafflement that Trump’s thrift-store-chic tartan had been that much, to begin with.

i'm gonna fucking KERMIT

Finally, some opined that, given Trump’s obvious discomfort getting up close and personal with the dirt, the fact that she was wearing such an expensive outfit to do so was unsurprising.

Implications about the Trump family’s “out-of-touchness” aside, the story gave people a chance for a few bipartisan laughs. In a month when the world faced nuclear woes, mass shootings, monster storms and political crises, the moment of levity was well-needed.

8 Tips Every Procrastinator Swears By

Being slow isn`t a sin, of course, and sometimes it`s even better than being in a rush. However, it may prevent you from doing everything you need on time and, as we all know, time is a highly important thing in life. To be fair, life is an amount of time of your existence so the more productive you are, the brighter your life is. Here are some tips procrastinators use that`ll hopefully help you manage to do more without exhausting yourself.

1. Multitasking isn’t helpful

You may think that doing a few tasks at a time will help you be more productive but it`s far from truth in reality. It can be useful only when you`re able to do one task automatically and take another one that you`re good at too. Otherwise, multitasking kills your time and energy. Furthermore, when you do everything you need at the same time, the results are much poorer.

2. Don’t think but do
Most of us spend more time thinking whether to do some task or not than getting it completed. If your task isn`t an essential thing that defines your further life way, you shouldn`t think about it more than a couple of minutes only. It`ll make your results more reasonable and efficient. “More time for doing, less time for thinking,” write it down on a piece of paper and hang it on the wall in front of you in your workplace to better the results.

3. The first is the hardest
More and more studies prove that people are the most productive in the early hours of the day. That`s why you`ll be able to do more if you start a day with coping with the most mentally challenging tasks and then go to easier ones. In the afternoon our mental activity lowers so don`t forget to plan your daily work in order to have the hardest tasks at the beginning of your to-do list.

4. Block online distractions to control your actions
If you can`t avoid checking your mail, visiting social networks or watching YouTube novelties hundred times a day, it`s a serious problem for your productivity. But you can get rid of it easily thanks to website blocking tools. It`ll save lots of your time that can be spent doing something more useful than texting someone online. Every procrastinator knows how to get rid of distractions, and you?

5. All the mess causes stress
It has been scientifically proven that chaos in the workplace interferes with your attention and can even cause chronic stress. If you want to come with a good job, try to declutter your work space. You won`t be distracted then and it`ll be easier to do all the tasks on time. Think what workplace would be more comfortable for you to work at and make all necessary changes to be a better employee.

6. Deadline shouldn’t make you blind
Lots of people suffer from procrastination because they know that the deadline isn`t coming yet and it makes them think that there`s a free minute to relax. Your deadline shouldn`t be something that interferes with your productivity so you can impose shorter ones on yourself. It`ll make you feel that there`s no time to play fool and you won`t worry to be late at the same time because you know that everything is under control.

7. Take regular breaks
Don`t forget to take regular breaks from work. It means a lot to your productivity because our brain needs 5 minutes recharge after a really hard work. This way, you`ll be ready to work hard again. But if you work non-stop, your productivity will gradually decrease till the end of a work day and you`ll be totally exhausted then.

8. The better health, the more tasks you get done
Most people have problems at work that are caused by poor health. If you don’t get enough sleep, eat fast food only and can’t handle stress, it`s not a surprise that you can`t work productively. Take care of your body because it plays one of the leading roles in your work. Mental and physical health are tightly connected so if one of them is in trouble, the system stops functioning properly.

Procrastination is the thing that doesn`t let you be a successful employee but it doesn`t mean that there`s no way out of this problem. Don`t worry, everything will be better because now you know what to do to boost productivity. There`s no need to hurry up and work non-stop. Take regular short breaks, keep everything in apple pie order in your workplace and don`t try to do everything at once. These rules will make your work easier and your results more successful. What doesn`t let you do a good job?

5 Things to Remember While Job Hunting in November

No matter what time of year, job hunting is a daunting task that makes even the most polished professional flustered and disgruntled. The funny thing is that most of us have what it takes to nail every single interview or job offer we receive, but we somehow lose sight of the simplest, most useful tips out there.

1. Do not be seasonal

Sure, you might sign up for seasonal work because business is surely booming wherever you are. Every retailer is out there, recruiting people just like you to keep shelves stocked, perch children on their lap, or even do some heavy lifting. So, you might be thinking, “Well, it is cool that I might get a job for the holidays, but then I am just going to have to look again after the New Year.”

Well, no. Not always. Show a little ambition when you are at your interview. Have a goal with no end. When you show Human Resources and the hiring officer that you are full of potential, you also show them you are the kind of person they will want to hang onto. You know what they say, “Good help is hard to come by.” So if you deliver above and beyond their expectations for “seasonal” help, you will not be just a “temporary” add in.

2. Do not only do online applications
The convenience of online applications is great… but it also seriously cuts into face time. Very rarely have I ever been called back for something I submitted online. What gets me attention is dropping off a smashing resume or inquiring with management about open positions at their establishment.

Once you have them interested and expecting you to apply, you might receive a paper version or then get invited to do an online application. They will be waiting for your application if they are serious about you.

Plus, by speaking with company members throughout the ranks, you built rapport. You earn gold stars for setting yourself apart from the faceless people sending in just words. Most of all, you can show just how much getting the position would mean to you – and that earnestness is what employees seek out. Remember, networking and connections equal success.

3. Your resume is not set in stone
I know, I know. Doing a really awesome resume takes hours and you should not have to change it. But well, not every job you apply for is going to be the same. Not every employer is cut from same cloth. So, neither should your resume.

I am a personal fitness trainer, yoga instructor, bartender, freelance writer, translator, and professional dancer. Guess how many resumes I have? Okay, I have lost count. But case in point, my yoga resume is nowhere near the same as my bartender resume.

Modify words. Break out that thesaurus. Switch up experience and credentials. And always be sure to apply unique skills that will make you value for the position in which you are applying for.

4. Use LinkedIn
Using social media to get hired? Blasphemy! Maybe in the 1900s it was, but this is the 21st century, and if you are not up to par with 90% of all recruiters out there, you will not ever get noticed. Ever.

LinkedIn does not require a lot of work. Nor does it need to become your social feed like Facebook. But it is a place to create links with professionals and entrepreneurs with similar goals. On LinkedIn, you can build references, get invitations to job offers, and also be easily found by those searching for someone who fits their needs perfectly.

5. Be thankful
There was a public speaking class I took a few years ago where one of our “tests” was to hold a formal business interview for our “dream job.” One of the tips the instructor gave us that has forever struck a chord with me was this: Be thankful. And since you are searching for a job around the holidays, there is no better time than to spread a little cheer. November is all about being thankful, after all.

Here is how it works. You get interviewed and are neck-and-neck with another candidate. After the final set of interviews, one of you decides to send a heartfelt thank you letter to HR or to whomever you spoke with throughout the course to getting hired.

The other one does nothing. Guess who looks like the better human being? That is right, the person who extended a thank you, albeit they might not have known whether they were getting that position or not. No one wants to hire an automaton. And heck, if you can write something kind, that shows a whole lot of character.

Remember, when it comes to getting hired this November, you are facing a massive amount of competition. Do not try to conform to the rest of crowd. Go the extra mile, and you might wind up clinching the job of your dreams instead of a dead-end.

7 Ways to Earn More Money While Working Full-Time

Regardless of where you live, you probably, like the majority of us, suffer from lack of money. Having a full-time job is great, but oftentimes it does not bring the money you need to live a trouble-free (not luxury!) life. This is why it is always a good idea to have a backup plan. Here is how you can make extra money today despite working full-time.

1. Be a freelance consultant
If you have been working in a certain field – be it law, accounting, programming or management – for many years already, why not share your knowledge and experience with others? A freelance consultant is an easy part-time job that help many people earn extra hundred dollars each month.

2. Consider DJ-ing
Are you a music junkie who spends nights listening and dancing to Djs? Why not become a DJ yourself? Not only will you save on entertainment, you can make even more money than your full-time job offers you. Bartending is another option to think over, albeit do not expect to earn tons of bucks.

3. Be a translator
Whether online or in real life, translators earn up to $40 per hour. A few hours a day will be enough to make extra cash for your dream vacation destination or that designer bag. Take advantage of your bilingual skills to help others and increase your monthly income.

4. Consider typing jobs
You do not have to have excellent typing skills in order to get a part-time typing job. There are many employers who are looking for people who can help them complete a typing project. You can become one of them. The only thing to keep in mind before getting the project is that you will must stick to a certain deadline.

5. Become an online tutor
Online tutors typically boost their income by helping people from the other countries to learn languages, law or any other subject that they need for entering a college or university. No matter where you live, you can help students from Spain, China, France or USA and get your money via PayPal. What can be easier?

6. Take a full advantage of your hobby
Have fantastic baking skills? Why not sell your own bread, cookies, or cakes? Love to create cute jewelry pieces? You can sell them online and earn pretty much money. You can also sell sewed garments, if you know at least basic sewing techniques. The possibilities are endless.

7. Be a creative writer
There is a big difference between a creative writer and an ordinary writer, especially when it comes to money. Creative writers make up to $100 per article, while ordinary writers get only $10. Creativity is not a gift. You can develop and use it to your full advantage. There are many websites for writers like Fiverr, Weworkremotely, Upwork, iWriter, Freelance Writing Gigs and many more.

In a modern technology age, earning extra cash is no problem anymore. Once you figure out how to make those extra bucks, you will be able to improve your financial situation in a matter of a few months. If you have any other ways to boost income while working full time, let us know in the comments.

McDonald’s secret Big Mac sauce recipe allegedly leaked online

McDonald’s secret Big Mac sauce recipe was allegedly leaked online and has a long list of ingredients  (iStock)

McDonald’s “secret” Big Mac sauce recipe has reportedly been leaked online – and it contains a staggering 33 ingredients.

The allegedly authentic list has been shared on Pinterest, but the fast food chain has yet to confirm if it is the real deal.

Uber is getting rid of a creepy tracking feature in its app

As Uber looks to mend its reputation with consumers, it is getting rid of…

The leaked recipe lists the ingedients as follows:

Soybean Oil, Pickle Relish (Diced Pickles, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Vinegar, Corn Syrup, Salt, Calcium Chloride, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Spice Extractives, Polysorbate 80), Distilled Vinegar, Water, Egg Yolks, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Onion Powder, Mustard Seed, Salt, Spices, Propylene Glycol Alginate, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Mustard Bran, Sugar, Garlic Powder, Vegetable Protein (Hydrolyzed Corn, Soy and Wheat), Caramel Colour, Extractives of Paprika, Soy Lecithin, Turmeric (Colour), Calcium Disodium EDTA (Protect Flavour).

The list is long and we don’t know what quantities each ingredient is used.

The Sun Online has contacted McDonald’s about the authenticity of the condiment ingredients.

The Special Sauce was created by franchise owner Jim Delligatti, who invented the Big Mac in 1968.

The top-secret formula was tweaked over the years, but the original recipe remained until 1991.

However it was changed back to the original recipe in 2004.

McDonald’s gave away 10,000 bottles of the Big Mac sauce in America in January as part of a special promotion.

Fast food fans were found to be flogging the condiment on eBay for a whopping $12,950.

Meanwhile, Mom Deals blogger Kelly Brinker has created a recipe that lets you make a similar sauce at home, using just seven ingredients.

She recommends placing mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, salt, French dressing, sugar and finely minced white onion in a bowl.

Kelly leaves it in the fridge overnight and stirs occasionally to create the much-loved burger relish.

Kelly Brinker’s take on the Big Mac special sauce recipe:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

4 tsp sweet pickle relish

1 tsp white vinegar

1/8 tsp salt

2 tbsp French dressing

1 tbsp finely minced white onion

1 tsp sugar

Put all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir

Cover the bowl, or put in a container that can be covered and refrigerate overnight

Stir a few times while it’s sitting in the fridge

6 Worst Online Dating Profile Mistakes Women Over 40 Commit

When you’re over 40, it’s difficult to meet a great man in real life. You believe online dating is your last hope, but all you face is a complete failure. Blatant men, con men, married men and guys who are younger than you are all trying to fool you, bring you down and make you think that you will never meet your soulmate because of your age. Age and love have nothing in common. Even women who are over 60s deserve to love and be loved.

When it comes to online dating, your profile plays a crucial role. If you commit these online dating profile mistakes that most women over 40 are guilty of, you will less likely attract the right man. No offence, gone are the days when you could sit and wait for your Mr.Right. You have no time for playing games. Change and update your dating profile today to let serious men find you faster. Here’s a list of the worst online dating profile mistakes women over 40 commit:

1. Superwoman

Typically, women over 40 feel confident, accomplished and seemingly happy. They believe they are able to do everything alone and a man is just an addition to their lives. They’re sure of themselves and their capabilities. They have houses, cars and money. They consider themselves perfect and ignore those who criticize them. If you are one of them, chances are your profile screams “I’m a perfect woman who doesn’t need a man.” When crafting your dating profile, make sure you doesn’t sound like an ideal woman. Men are afraid of arrogant women, and only those who are looking for a hookup will send you a message.

2. Banality

You love reading, partying, traveling, cooking or whatever. Most of us love it. Your dating profile should say something new and unusual about you. It should stand out from the crowd. Avoid using banal phrases like, “I want to find my dream man” or “Relationship is my top priority.” Once a man sees them, he’ll more likely move to the next profile. No one believes in banality these days, especially men over 50.

3. Moaning

Even if you cry every night because you’re lonely and unsuccessful, your potential date shouldn’t know about it. Don’t moan about your past relationships, financial problems, failures, mistakes and overall miserable life. Otherwise, he may think that you will be moaning and crying all night long instead of having fun, and moves on to the next profile. With a positive profile, you’re one step closer to finding your dream man.

4. Blaming

“I had my first serious relationship in college, I loved him but he cheated on me and I had spent 20 years trying to make other men’s lives miserable. Now that I realized my mistake, I feel guilty and truly want to find my love and build a long-term relationship.” It sounds touching, but the woman who wrote this (she’s 52) made another mistake. She revealed her guilt but the truth is no one needs it. Men don’t care about your past mistakes and guilt. They want to know your positive present and a few plans for the future and that’s it.

5. Bragging

Perhaps you’re a successful leader, a mom of 6 or a foodie junkie. You’re perfect in bed and cook the most delicious meals in the world. You’ve visited many places around the world and know many different languages. You know how to win a man’s heart and become the best wife. It’s really great. But, ladies over 40, bragging doesn’t work when it comes to online dating. Stay realistic, honest and modest. This way, your prospective match will appreciate your profile.

6. Devotion

Telling something like, “I’m ready to do anything to be with my dream man” or worse, “I don’t need anyone in my life, except my future partner,” is a big no-no. Most men are afraid of a woman with high expectations and devotion. Building a relationship when you’re not 20 anymore requires step-by-step actions. Don’t leap into a new relationship at once and don’t promise the moon.

Have you ever tried online dating before? Did it work?

Leaked Avengers Infinity War trailer surfaces online again: Will Iron Man and Captain America reunite?

Robert Downey Jr, Tom Holland and Chris Pratt on the sets of Avengers Infinity WarMarvel
Much to Marvel’s annoyance, the trailer of Avengers Infinity War was leaked soon after its preview at Comic Con San Diego. But due to copyright issues, the footage was later taken down from the internet.

The leaked footage has finally made its way to YouTube, giving an eyeful to fans about the fates of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Spider Man.

Why advertise with us
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have already seen their favorite Avengers battling and thrashing every alien invasion that has threatened the earth. This time, however, they are not fighting an alien, but will be facing Thanos, the Mad Titan.

The trailer shows superheroes flexing their muscles to fight and defeat the greatest threat on earth. Tony Stark and Captain America must put a united front before the greatest enemy they have ever encountered but the war may not be as easy as the previous ones.

The leaked trailer for Avengers 3 begins with the audience cheering to the voice over of Mantis who says: “We are arriving.” Star Lord, the captain of his spaceship Milano asks his Guardians to stay prepared for what comes next. He says: “Alright Guardians, don’t forget this might be dangerous so let put on our mean face.”

To the surprise of Gamora, Drax and Rocket Raccoon, the body of Thor falls and hits the windshield of the spaceship. They bring his unconscious body inside Milano. He later wakes up thanks to Mantis] and is surprised to see his space saviors. “Something is very wrong,” the Norse God speculates as he arrives somewhere in the galaxy along with the Star Lord and his team of cosmic Avengers.

Thanos will be the main villain in Avengers Infinity WarMarvel
Cut to Scarlet Witch who appears to be dodging some powerful force on Earth while Spider Man senses danger. In another scene, Loki emerges on the screen to offer the Tesseract to someone gigantic (many believe it may be Thanos). Tony Stark appears to give a little Ted talk as he encourages his team on attacking the greatest super villain. “We have an advantage. He is coming to us. So that’s what we will use.”

Marvel’s Avengers Infinity War will hit the theaters on 4 May 2018.

New Online Game Invites Public To Help Fight Alzheimer’s

A new online science game allows the general public to directly contribute to Alzheimer’s disease research and help scientists search for a cure.

The game, called Stall Catchers, was developed by the Human Computation Institute, in collaboration with UC Berkeley and other institutions, as part of the EyesOnALZ citizen science project. Stall Catchers will allow participants to look at movies of real blood vessels in mouse brains and search for clogged capillaries, or stalls, where blood is no longer flowing, Previous research suggests that capillary stalls could be a key culprit in Alzheimer’s disease.

The citizen science approach for Stall Catchers was developed by physicist Andrew Westphal, a senior fellow at the UC Berkeley Space Sciences Laboratory. The approach was first used in a project called Stardust@home, in which more than 30,000 amateur scientists have carried out more than 100 million searches to identify interstellar dust in collectors returned by the NASA Stardust comet sampling mission. Stardust@home led to the discovery of seven particles of likely interstellar origin, reported in the journal Science in 2014.

“We are optimistic that this citizen science approach will be similarly successful in accelerating research aimed at finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease,” Westphal said.

Data analysis in Alzheimer’s disease research, such as searching for stalls, is a time-consuming task that can cause a single research question to take up to a year to answer in the lab. The EyesOnALZ project aims to accelerate the analysis of these data with the help of citizen scientists playing Stall Catchers so that scientists can find targets for treatment of Alzheimer’s faster.

“Today, we have a handful of lab experts putting their eyes on the research data,” said Pietro Michelucci, principal investigator for EyesOnALZ. “If we can enlist thousands of people to do that same analysis by playing an online game, then we have created a huge force multiplier in our fight against this dreadful disease.”

Stall Catchers will be open to everyone and is free to play on a laptop, tablet or smartphone. The game has already been tested by more than 100 people, including volunteers from well-known citizen science projects, including Stardust@home. The game has also been demonstrated at science and citizen science events, such USA Science and Engineering Festival, European Citizen Science Conference 2016 and smaller community events.

“Stall Catchers will not only be a breakthrough in how we do Alzheimer’s research, but it will also empower anyone to directly contribute to fighting a disease that affects them or their loved ones,” Michelucci said.

Stall Catchers is funded by a grant from the BrightFocus Foundation. Scientists from Cornell and Princeton universities are also involved with the project.
